Juror in Lindsay Clancy case not required to surrender phone
The juror who refused to convict Lindsay Clancy of murder in her trial, leading to a mistrial, will not face investigation or phone examination, as the judge ruled that post-trial information is inadmissible. The judge also declined to hold an evidentiary hearing, citing legal precedent and the inability to probe juror deliberations. The juror, who maintained his decision despite media reports, was praised by his lawyer for his stance, and he denied any misconduct regarding the use of his cell phone. Clancy's trial ended without a verdict, with her upcoming court date set for November.
