NFL Again Fines Williams

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was fined $35,823 over two games for wearing Caddix cleats with an unauthorized logo, despite saying their injury-reduction technology helps him stay healthy. Caddix CEO Jack Rasmussen said more than 80 NFL players wear the company’s cleats and that it has offered to cover Williams’ fines; Williams has appealed and reportedly plans to keep wearing them. NFL rules allow players to be kept out of a game until uniform violations are corrected, though the league has not said it plans to bar Williams from playing.
