Sandhurst Celebrates First Bahraini Graduate
The Royal Sandhurst Military Academy’s celebration honoring His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa as the first Bahraini graduate of the Academy in 1957 was held on the occasion of 70 years of relations between Bahrain and the Academy. His Highness pointed out that this achievement reflects the deep historical ties that connect the Kingdom with the Academy, ties that have developed with the support of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to enhance national competencies. Following this, His Highness was honored with the Academy’s Medal and Sword, emphasizing the importance of these relations, which began with King Sheikh Hamad bin Isa’s visit to the United Kingdom in 1936. His sons, all graduates of the Academy, have also carried on this legacy, highlighting Bahrain’s commitment to preparing military cadres according to the highest standards.
