AI skills do not ensure jobs
The article points out that artificial intelligence does not guarantee a job; rather, ignoring it could threaten individuals' career futures. As the demand for AI skills increases, specialized bootcamps and courses have shifted from representing only 2% of the vocational certification market in 2022 to about a third of the market in 2026, with certifications related to AI rising from 1% to 16% over four years. However, the job market requires skills beyond theoretical education, as many programs focus on AI tools rather than the practical skills needed. This poses a risk for those who rely solely on certificates. The main advice is that failing to acquire AI skills could lead to the loss of current jobs, as AI will not guarantee employment—ignoring it could be costly.
