Actress's brother surrenders for weapons case
Abdullah Raees, the brother of artist Rena Raees, turned himself in to the security authorities to serve a one-year prison sentence issued by the Sheikh Zayed Misdemeanor Court. The charges included possession of drugs (hashish), a white weapon, and driving a car without license plates under the influence of drugs. The case resulted from a vehicle search in Beverly Hills, where narcotics, a bottle of alcohol, and a sum of money were found inside. The defendant confirmed that the money was solely from his school allowance and stated that the car's license plate had fallen off after a previous collision. The sentence was carried out following the issuance of the judicial ruling, as part of a case involving multiple criminal charges.
