Supreme Media Council bans Riham Saeed and Yasmine Al-Khatib
The Supreme Council for Media Regulation has decided to suspend TV presenters Riham Said and Yasmine El Khatib from appearing in the media for two months, following investigations and recommendations from the Complaints Committee, which documented cases of mutual accusations on social media platforms. This measure reflects the council’s commitment to professional integrity and respect for societal values. The decision bans them from appearing through media outlets and participating in discussions on social media, due to the overlap between professional responsibility and digital content. The goal of this action is to preserve the reputation of the profession and the image of the media, emphasizing that responsibility extends to personal posts within the digital space.
