Mia Goth Criticizes Instagram Over Fake AI Image
A fake image of actress Mia Goth has circulated on Instagram, showing her wearing a shirt with a phrase implying that her ex-boyfriend is her biggest fan, accompanied by Beyoncé's song "Single Ladies." This widely shared image, which garnered hundreds of thousands of likes and was circulated by entertainment sites, came days after Goth filed for divorce from actor Shia LaBeouf. Goth's team clarified that the image was fake and that the account that posted it does not represent her officially. Meta also warned that the account impersonating her and subsequently deleted had over a million followers, raising concerns about the level of verification for content sources on social media platforms—especially in light of AI-generated image manipulations. The incident highlights the challenges social media faces in combating fake content and protecting celebrities' privacy following divorces and the rapid spread of false leaks.
