Manouh offers 27 waste management projects for 2 billion riyals
The National Waste Management Center "Mawan" has announced 27 investment opportunities valued at over two billion riyals to develop and operate 33 waste management facilities across various regions of the Kingdom, in partnership with five municipalities. These opportunities include the establishment and operation of facilities for treating construction and demolition waste, medical waste, and slaughterhouse waste, in addition to municipal waste sorting facilities. The aim is to enhance operational efficiency and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills. This initiative is part of the Center’s five-year efforts to improve the regulatory environment, support the transition to sustainable waste management, and decrease the proportion of waste disposed of in landfills from 82% to 5%. These projects contribute to reducing carbon emissions, protecting the environment, and improving quality of life, with sustainability capacity reaching up to 7 million tons of waste on an area exceeding 1.8 million square meters.
