Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz visited his troops in southern Syria, affirming that Israel will remain in the area to protect its security from ongoing threats, especially with Israeli forces present in a secure zone under United Nations patrols in the Golan Heights. Damascus condemned the visit, describing it as a violation of its sovereignty. Meanwhile, Israel vowed to stay in the region to counter any new threats, particularly from Turkey. The visit comes after an attack on the Abu al-Zuhur airbase and underscores Israel's continued expansion of its military activity zone to ensure its security against threats from the Syrian regime or Turkish interventions.
