Egypt's upcoming holiday in 2026

Egypt will observe several official holidays in 2026, including national and religious occasions, with some holidays being moved to extend periods of rest. Among the most notable holidays are the Revolution of June 30, which will be observed on Thursday, July 2, instead of June 30, as well as Revolution Day on July 23, the Islamic New Year (Mawlid al-Nabi) on August 26, and Armed Forces Day on October 6. The total number of official holiday days amounts to approximately 18 days throughout the year, granted to workers in both the public and private sectors, with some holidays being moved to avoid mid-week dates.
