Maghli al-Balah Preserves Nubian Ashura Traditions
The Nubians celebrate the Day of Ashura through special rituals, and the tradition of preparing "Dates Pudding" remains one of the main symbols of this occasion. It is considered part of the cultural heritage passed down through generations, despite the decline of some other customs. This dish was once an important part of the season of gathering and solidarity, and it continues to be a part of Nubian traditions for this occasion to this day.
