Brotherhood's post-June 30 attacks on transport
The bombing of the railway track in Denshal in 2015 was one of the attempts by the terrorist group, the Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood), to target Egypt's infrastructure with the aim of disrupting vital transportation, especially the Cairo–Alexandria line, following the June 30 Revolution. The goal was to spread chaos and confuse government institutions. The incident did not result in any casualties, but it temporarily halted traffic and led to increased security measures, as part of the state's efforts to safeguard public facilities and counter targeting operations after the fall of the Ikhwan’s rule.
