Meat prices in markets on June 26
On Friday, June 26, 2026, the prices of red meat remained stable in the market, supported by an increase in supply resulting from the expansion of livestock projects implemented by the state over recent years. This has helped boost production and meet demand. Local meat prices ranged between 430 Egyptian pounds per kilogram for the Fulto cut, and between 350 and 400 pounds for lamb meat. Meanwhile, mutton meat traded between 300 and 350 pounds per kilogram, local liver between 350 and 400 pounds, and lamb liver around 320 pounds per kilogram. Government outlets and the distribution of meat at reduced prices have contributed to increasing supply and making meat more accessible to consumers.
