Israeli media: Hamas leader Ali Al-Amoudi targeted in Gaza
Israel carried out an airstrike on the city of Gaza targeting a prominent Hamas leader, Ali Al-Amoudi. No direct injuries were reported from the strike, but it resulted in the death of five people, including a woman, her daughter, and a young man. A building in western Gaza was also damaged. The deaths of the civilians are considered a direct consequence of the strike, while the Israeli army has not yet commented on the results of the operation. Al-Amoudi is regarded as one of the leading candidates to succeed Khalil Haya as head of Hamas's political office in the Gaza Strip and is considered the highest-ranking political official for the movement within Gaza.
