Mustafa Bakry, a Member of Parliament, confirmed that the state has made significant progress in development, infrastructure, and roads — a period he described as perhaps the most remarkable Egypt has seen in a long time. He pointed out that the government's achievements have been rapid, almost racing against time, despite facing strategic challenges under difficult circumstances. He also discussed the issue of coded electricity meters, emphasizing that the complexities of the law are delaying reconciliation procedures, and that continuing to impose high tariffs on citizens becomes a heavy burden on them. Bakry called for easing the reconciliation process and converting the meters back to normal after paying the fees. He also stressed the importance of political leadership’s intervention to support retirees and the need for solutions to their problems related to health and livelihood.
