Assiut Governor Approves Population Plan for 2026-2027

The Assiut Governor, Major General Mohamed Alwan, adopted the population plan for the years 2026-2027, aligned with the national strategy for population and development and Egypt Vision 2030. The plan focuses on improving demographic characteristics, family development, reproductive health services, reducing illiteracy and school dropout rates, with an emphasis on enhancing community participation in population programs and supporting human development. The measures include awareness and service programs targeting all districts and villages in the governorate, especially impoverished areas, with the aim of raising awareness, promoting sustainable development, and improving citizens' quality of life. Monitoring of the plan's implementation will be conducted periodically to measure performance indicators and achieve the set objectives.
