Medical convoy held in Eastern Province
The Supreme Medical and Relief Committee at the Council of Ministers organized a comprehensive medical convoy in Al-Sharqiya Governorate from August 3 to August 8, 2026, in collaboration with the Egyptian Recovery Bank Foundation. The goal was to provide free medical services to the most needy areas. The convoy resulted in the examination of 3,597 citizens, the distribution of 579 pairs of glasses, the identification of 203 cases in need of ophthalmic surgeries, and 82 cases requiring surgical intervention, with referrals for cases needing specialized treatment. The committee emphasizes the importance of these convoys in improving access to healthcare and is working on expanding its initiatives in cooperation with local authorities to maximize benefits for citizens.
