Federations Criticize Infantino
The football associations of Europe, Asia, North America, and Central America issued strong criticism against FIFA President Gianni Infantino regarding the management of the upcoming World Cup rights sales process. The three associations released a joint statement expressing their dissatisfaction with Infantino's approach, accusing him of "deception" and betraying trust during a failed attempt to sell a stake in the commercial rights, which was later withdrawn. They called for an independent and transparent review of the process, emphasizing the importance of global football unity and the interests of member associations, warning against efforts to dominate the sport.
