The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has referred the four mobile operators to the Public Prosecution due to violations related to the registration of mobile phone lines in the names of users without their knowledge. This action comes after an investigation into complaints about lines registered with individuals' data whom they do not own, in an effort to protect users' rights and personal information. Urgent regulatory measures have been approved, including halting the sale and activation of new lines, issuing notifications to users to update their data, with a focus on activating biometric verification to ensure the identity of the line owners. Failure to comply correctly with these regulations is subject to legal penalties, including referring violations to the public prosecution and suspending lines associated with non-compliant companies.
