The Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Qalyubia, in collaboration with the National Food Safety Authority, managed to seize approximately 200 kilograms of rotten and assorted meats, including frozen, fresh, and minced, inside a hypermarket in Benha city. Laboratory analyses of the samples showed signs of spoilage and changes in their natural properties, confirming they are unfit for human consumption. The campaign was conducted under the directives of the governor and the oversight team to ensure product safety and protect citizens’ health. The confiscated items were seized, and the necessary legal procedures were taken. The governorate continues to intensify campaigns to ensure the availability of safe and edible food for consumers.
