Arabic language and history make up 20% of exam scores
The article states that the Ministry of Education includes Arabic language and History among the identity subjects, which account for 20% of the grades for students in international schools. This aims to preserve the connection to Egyptian national and cultural identity. The ministry is working on issuing unified instructions to ensure that the curricula are applied in a manner compatible with the Baccalaureate system, without altering previous decisions. This step is taken to strengthen students' ties to their Egyptian language and history, despite studying under international education systems. The instructions will specify how the two subjects should be taught to ensure that schools adhere to the prescribed principles.
