Dr. Abdullah Al-Maghazi, a constitutional law professor and former parliamentarian, revealed that the role of the House of Representatives is primarily limited to oversight and legislation. However, citizens have not felt this role to be truly effective. He pointed out that what President Sisi seeks is a societal and public dialogue to showcase government achievements. He also noted that a significant portion of the parliament was previously part of the government, which has impacted its credibility and transparency with the public. Additionally, he affirmed that the Egyptian state has improved its protection of citizens, especially through the expansion of economic courts, which are considered faster and more accurate. He proposed establishing specialized circuits to address issues between real estate developers and citizens.
