Gabonese Maliq Evouna, a former Al-Ahly player, confirmed that Al-Ahly is the most beloved club in his heart and considers it one of the strongest teams in Africa. He explained that his departure from the team was due to a financial offer of 8 million euros presented to him by another club, and he had wished to continue with Al-Ahly. However, he agreed with the management to transfer because of the attractive offer. He also stated that he was not happy about leaving the club, and that moving to another team is a normal part of football.
