The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in collaboration with the Central Bank of Egypt, has announced an extension of the application deadline for the "Future Scholars" scholarship until September 4, 2026, aimed at providing opportunities for a greater number of outstanding students from eligible categories, such as beneficiaries of the "Takaful and Karama" initiative and those exempted from tuition fees, to fully benefit from the scholarship. The scholarship offers comprehensive funding that covers tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses throughout the study period at participating Egyptian universities, on the condition that the student continues to meet the eligibility criteria. Applicants must be Egyptian nationals, have obtained their General Secondary Education certificate from government schools, be top performers, not have been academically or disciplinary expelled, and be beneficiaries of the initiatives or exempted from tuition fees. Applications must be submitted through an online platform, with the necessary documents provided, followed by a qualifying entrance examination. The funded fields include areas such as medicine, engineering, computer science, and artificial intelligence, with the goal of meeting the country’s development needs, and the scholarships will be geographically distributed to ensure they reach different regions.
