Nabil Elaraby, Secretary-General of the Arab League, discussed the Palestinian banking sector's crisis during his meeting with Yihyeh Shanar, the Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority. He highlighted that Israel is exceeding the Protocol of Paris, signed in 1994, in an attempt to strangulate the Palestinian economy and sever its ties with the world, including the seizure of over $6 billion from the clearance funds. Elaraby emphasized the need for the international community to put pressure on Israel to halt these illegal measures. He called for confronting the Israeli economic war aimed at undermining the Palestinian Authority's capabilities and imposing restrictions on its citizens.
