Inspection campaigns on bottled water plants
The National Food Safety Authority focused on an intensive inspection campaign of drinking water production and packaging in Egypt, aiming to ensure product safety and protect consumer health. The campaign involved inspecting 52 factories, including 38 operating actively, 8 closed, 5 halted for some time, and one under construction. A total of 28 samples were collected, and several violating factories were shut down or closed, with official reports issued and legal measures taken. The initiative seeks to improve compliance with food safety standards throughout all stages of production and distribution, from manufacturing to the consumer.
