Central Bank alerts on InstaPay scams
The Central Bank of Egypt has warned against electronic scams targeting users of the "InstaPay" application. Scammers are impersonating customer service representatives to contact users via suspicious calls or messages with the aim of stealing banking information and taking control of funds. The scams include sending fake links that claim to update data or resolve technical issues; when opened, these links compromise accounts and result in stolen money. The bank emphasized the importance of not sharing confidential information, using only official channels, and reporting any fraud attempts to avoid financial losses.
