Al-Qarawiyyin Vice President on Mufti's Growth

This article discusses the activities of the 11th World Fiqh Conference, which examined the role of fatwa in strengthening family stability and achieving social cohesion, especially amid social, psychological, economic, and digital transformations. Researchers highlighted the importance of shifting from a jurisprudence of crisis management to a jurisprudence of prevention, emphasizing the development of institutional fatwa tools and integrating with family counseling and mediation to confront the rising levels of marital disputes and family crises. Institutional models such as the "Reunion Unit" were also showcased; this unit combines fatwa and educational functions with the aim of restoring communication among conflicting parties and formalizing the reconciliation process. Importantly, participants underscored the necessity of updating fatwa discourse and addressing challenges posed by modern technologies—particularly in dealing with misinformation and cybercrimes—by developing specialized algorithms and adopting unified strategies to promote family stability and prevent its disintegration in the context of digital globalization.
