Foreign ministers of Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia welcomed the United Kingdom government's decision to ban the import of goods from illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories. They called for similar measures to support international law and to punish settlement activities. They emphasized the necessity of implementing a two-state solution by establishing an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, and highlighted the importance of ending Israeli measures that alter the geographic and demographic nature of the occupied lands. The ministers also supported the Trump plan for stability in Gaza and stressed that a fair and lasting solution lies in implementing a two-state solution based on international legality.
