The Ministry of Health and Population organized a workshop to develop the national heat and health action plan aimed at enhancing preparedness to address the health impacts of climate change and extreme temperatures. The workshop discussed the importance of strengthening adaptation measures, the connection between climate forecasts and health data, and the development of an early warning system targeting the most vulnerable populations. It focused on eight main themes, including governance, alert systems, and public awareness, and involved creating an implementation roadmap in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the protection of community health from the increasing effects of heatwaves.
