Governorate orders to protect green spaces
Dr. Manal Abdel, Minister of Local Development and Environment, directed all governorates to protect green spaces and refrain from cutting trees without the governor's approval, in order to preserve the environment and support the initiative to plant 100 million trees. She emphasized the importance of strictly monitoring cases of tree violations and taking legal action against offenders in accordance with environmental law. Additionally, it is necessary to obtain approval from the governor and the Environmental Affairs Agency before cutting or uprooting trees. She also stressed updating the data of the initiative committees and submitting periodic reports to monitor its implementation, to ensure an increase in green spaces and environmental improvement.
