Informa, the organizing company of the "Cityscape Egypt" event, has decided to cancel this year's edition of the real estate exhibition for the first time since its launch in 2011. The decision was made due to a decline in the participation of real estate companies and rising participation costs, as the number of participating companies did not exceed 40, and the attendance of major developers has decreased. This suspension comes amid some Egyptian companies shifting their focus to the Saudi market to participate in "Cityscape Riyadh" events to benefit from marketing opportunities. Additionally, there are growing challenges in the Egyptian real estate market, such as rising unit prices, declining purchasing power, and increased governmental efforts to regulate the market and monitor struggling projects. The cancellation of the exhibition raises questions about the future of real estate exhibitions in Egypt and how this will impact developers' marketing strategies.
