Education outlines contract steps for 30,000 teachers after fifth batch results
The Ministry of Education announced the results of the fifth batch of the recruitment competition for 30,000 teachers, in which 43,400 candidates passed the exams and the required training courses. The hiring process and the assignment of teachers to schools will begin after the completion of all necessary documents and procedures, which include essential documents such as the educational qualification, national ID card, and a criminal record certificate. The assistant teacher contract lasts for one year and is renewable for an additional year. The aim of this contract is to address the shortage of teachers in primary schools, especially in core subjects like Arabic, English, and Mathematics. The ministry will prioritize completing the procedures and has emphasized the rights and pathways for members of the “1000 School Principals Initiative” after three years of service, noting that some rights require a five-year period before eligibility.
