Yemeni Army Takes Sam'a Fortress
The Yemeni army announced a tangible battlefield progress in the Sam'a front in Taiz Province, where it managed to seize Sam'a Fort and the surrounding areas after fierce battles with the Houthis, resulting in significant losses in lives and equipment among the Houthis. The forces also repelled a wide-scale attack by the Houthis on Jabal Hān and other sites, with the Houthi fighters retreating after the fighting. The clashes continue in other areas of Taiz since early September. Currently, fighting is ongoing between government forces and the Houthis on multiple fronts, with efforts to pursue the Houthis continuing. The exact number of their casualties has not yet been determined, but reports indicate that bodies remain in the mountainous regions days after the clashes.
