Armenian-Egyptian Artist Marks October
The Armenian child born in a small town on the edges of the Caucasus on October 1, 1898, became after 75 years an elderly man illustrating at the “Akhbar Al-Youm” publishing house in Cairo, where he drew a train bearing "6 October" on its front, symbolizing the "dreams of Israel" as it traveled forward. This reflects a long journey of life and history intertwined with Arab and Israeli issues.
