The African Football Confederation (CAF) has decided to activate the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology starting from the group stage of the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup, in an effort to improve refereeing accuracy and reduce errors in matches. This decision follows an evaluation of the prior phases of the experiment, aiming to enhance fairness and the overall refereeing system in both tournaments.
