Yemen Dawn: Clashes and airstrikes in Taiz
Reports circulated about intense clashes between Yemeni forces and the Houthi militia in the city of Taiz, where Yemeni troops repelled simultaneous Houthi attacks on all fronts and thwarted their progress in several locations. The Yemeni Air Force carried out six airstrikes targeting Houthi positions. The battles resulted in the capture of five Houthi leaders. Meanwhile, more than 600,000 people in Taiz face risks of malnutrition and hunger due to the siege and ongoing fighting, as the militias have obstructed humanitarian aid deliveries. In response, Saudi Arabia intercepted multiple ballistic missile attacks and destroyed cruise missiles launched by the Houthis over its territory, which caused limited injuries and minor material damage.
