Shalhin Says Attack Due to 'Cheap Meat'
Actress Ilham Shaheen stated that she was attacked because of the film "Cheap Meat," despite her insistence that it is one of her most respectful films. She explained that her goal was to address a real issue based on a true incident. During her comments at the El Gouna Film Festival, she also discussed the Salafi perspective on women, considering that Salafi society views women as slaves who have no right to express their opinions. They oppose a woman's success and voice within the community, and they also criticized the film for highlighting these kinds of issues.
