Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Tuesday that there had been no new developments regarding a possible agreement with Washington, despite the continued exchange of messages through mediators. He noted that U.S. positions did not inspire optimism. Qatar is continuing its mediation efforts and has conveyed a U.S. proposal to Tehran. Washington is demanding nuclear concessions, while Iran is calling for an end to the blockade, the release of its frozen funds, and permission to sell oil. Baghaei added that Iran’s armed forces are at the highest level of readiness to respond to any potential attack.
