Ahmed Shobeir, the former Al Ahly and Egypt national team goalkeeper, sharply criticized Zamalek’s board over its statement on cases involving players’ unpaid dues, which amount to 7 million pounds, and its linking of the issue to the withdrawal of the club’s land in October. He said the board should focus on raising the money and paying what is owed rather than repeatedly talking about the land and making threats. He also criticized signings he described as misguided and costing the club millions, urging the management to correct its mistakes and reassure the fans and players.
