Houthis target Red Sea tankers amid US strikes on Iran
A Saudi-owned vessel, the Encelia, was targeted in the Red Sea, causing a fire at the bow; all crew members are reported safe. Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis claimed responsibility for missile and drone strikes on two Saudi oil tankers, including the Encelia, as part of their maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia amid ongoing US-Iran tensions. The incident has heightened concerns over regional stability, oil supply routes, and global oil prices, which have already risen due to increased geopolitical tensions in the area.
