Clippers owner Steve Ballmer suspended year
Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer has been suspended for one year by the NBA for knowingly assisting Kawhi Leonard in obtaining off-court income and violating salary-cap rules through endorsement deals. The league also fined the Clippers $30 million, banned Leonard’s former business manager from league dealings for five years, and imposed various suspensions and monitoring programs. The penalties stem from findings of leadership failures and violations related to endorsement arrangements involving Leonard and the franchise.
