Clippers' $100M screen maker faces federal probe over Kawhi Leonard's absence
The NBA and regulators are scrutinizing Daktronics over an unpublicized multimillion-dollar sponsorship with Kawhi Leonard related to the Halo Board at the Clippers’ arena. Despite the sizable investment, there is no evidence Leonard promoted or visibly engaged in activities for the company, prompting questions about the sponsorship’s purpose and compliance. The investigation follows league findings that the Clippers improperly facilitated outside income opportunities, leading to fines, draft pick losses, and the suspension of owner Steve Ballmer.
