Clark's milestone overshadowed by WNBA award
In August, Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever averaged a record-breaking 44.7 points per game, setting a league benchmark for offensive production, though she was overshadowed by teammate Kelsey Mitchell, who won Eastern Conference honors for her historic scoring month. Clark's extraordinary performance included the highest monthly scoring average for a guard and a league-leading 41.4 points created per game for the season. Despite her achievements, Clark is now focused on international duty at the World Cup.
