Hegseth notes public execution of Fort Hood shooter
Pete Hegseth announced that Nidal Hasan, the former army psychiatrist who killed 13 people at Fort Hood in 2009, will be executed by firing squad on December 3 at the base. The execution will be the first military firing squad in the US in over 60 years and will be livestreamed for public viewing. Hasan exhausted his appeals last year, and the decision follows recommendations from defense officials.
