Nathan Cleary explains Mary Fowler’s Matildas absence
Nathan Cleary, an injured rugby league player, expressed gratitude to his partner, Matildas forward Mary Fowler, who flew to Australia to support him during his recovery from major leg surgery. Fowler withdrew from the Matildas' squad for personal reasons and is now with Cleary in Sydney, after their recent social media posts confirmed her absence was related to his injury. The Matildas experienced a defeat in their match without Fowler, and she will also miss an upcoming friendly against Haiti.
