U.S. Treasury Removes Fly Baghdad from Sanctions
The U.S. Treasury Department announced the removal of Fly Baghdad and several of its aircraft from the sanctions list, as part of updates to the Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) list. The update involved deleting the company's name from the sanctions list, removing two Boeing 737 aircraft affiliated with it, and modifying the association of Bashir Abdul Kadhim Allawan Al-Shabani from Fly Baghdad to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards – Quds Force. This step is part of the U.S. Treasury's efforts to update its data and promote transparency regarding affiliated entities.
