Anbar Authority Explains Eyeless Fish in Haditha
The Director of Environment in Anbar, Qais Najeh Abdel, stated that the "eyeless" fish whose pictures have circulated on social media in the Al-Khassafa area of Haditha are not new. They were previously discovered in a well behind the Sheikh Hadeed Shrine. He explained that these fish suffer from growth disorders or severe injuries and do not pose a threat to the environment. The phenomenon does not indicate the presence of pollution or a significant environmental problem in the area.
