Nineveh police official arrested for accepting bribe
A judicial order was executed to arrest a colonel, the director of one of Nineveh's police departments, after he was involved in accepting a bribe of $15,000 USD in exchange for manipulating the testimony of a detainee, aiming to alter it and change the date of the crime to include him under the amnesty law. The intermediary was apprehended, and the officer was detained in coordination with intelligence agencies and the Nineveh police. Both suspects were held and brought before the judiciary. This operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat bribery and corruption within the security forces.
