Diyala Province is working to resolve the issue of salaries for over 7,000 government contract workers who have been unpaid for the past eight months, following protests organized by the contractors demanding their financial rights. The head of the Provincial Council has submitted an urgent request to the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Finance to put an end to the delay in salary payments, which has caused difficult living conditions for the protesters. The council expresses solidarity with their demands and emphasizes the need to expedite the salary distribution, similar to other provinces.
